2 Arrested After Southampton Village Street Fight: Police

One man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Two men were arrested after a street fight in Southampton Village, police said.

According to Southampton Village Police, Joseph S. Messina, 48, of Southampton, was arrested on May 27 at 11:01 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, a violation. Also arrested was Rick J. Sicoli, 49, of Shoreham; he was charged with disorderly conduct and third degree assault, a misdemeanor, police said.

Police were called to an active disturbance in front of a Main Street address, where two individuals were engaged in a fist fight, authorities said.

Messina was transported to Southampton Hospital by the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance for treatment of his injuries; both men were held overnight for morning arraignment, police said.
