2 Men Used Credit Cards Stolen In Hamptons To Spend $4K: Police

The credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Bridgehampton, police say.

BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — The search is on for two men believed to have used credit cards stolen from a vehicle in Bridgehampton to go on a $4,000 shopping spree in Nassau County, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the two men who are thought to have used the credit cards to make more than a dozen purchases at multiple Target and Home Depot stores in Nassau County on July 24, police said.

The purchases totaled more than $4,000, police said. The cards were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle parked on Bridge Lane the night before, police said.
