3 Days, 3 DWI Charges In Southampton Town: State Police
New York State Police charged 3 with DWI over a 3 day period recently, authorities say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — New York State Police reported that three individuals were charged with driving while intoxicated in Southampton Town over a three-day period recently.
According to New York State Police, Mary E. Ross, 53, of Flanders was arrested on Sept. 20 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for failing to maintain her lane on Lake Avenue; Ross was transported to New York State Police barracks Riverside where she provided a breath sample of .11% BAC, police said. She is due back in Southampton Town Justice Court on Oct. 16, police said.
On Sept. 21, Neftaly Zavala Yanes, 31, of Hampton Bays was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for failing to maintain lane on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, police said. Zavala Yanes was transported to New York State Police barracks Riverside where he provided a breath sample of .10% BAC, police said. He is due back in Southampton Town Justice Court on Oct. 16, police said.

Daniel K. Smith, Jr., 40, of Riverhead, was arrested on Sept. 22 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Lake Avenue; Smith was transported to New York State Polie barracks Riverside where he provided a breath sample of .12% BAC, police said.
