4 Cuffed For DWI: Cops

The arrests took place in locations across Southampton Town during the past week, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — New York State Police nabbed 4 individuals for drunk driving over the past week, police said.

According to New York State Police, arrests included:

- Leonel Curiales Gonzalez, 44, of Riverhead, was arrested on Nov. 22 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for an equipment violation while traveling south on Lake Avenue in Riverside, police said. An investigation revealed Curiales Gonzalez to be intoxicated and he was transported back to New York State Police Barracks Riverside to be processed; he was held for an arraignment in Southampton Justice Court on Nov. 23, police said.

- Jhon J. Lopez Betancourt , 27, of Manorville, was arrested on Nov. 24 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for speeding while traveling east on Sunrise Highway enear Exit 63 in Westhampton, police said. An investigation revealed Lopez Betancourt to be intoxicated and he was transported back to New York State Police Barracks Riverside to be processed; he is due back in Southampton Justice Court on Dec. 4, police said.

- Fernando Bonilla Reyes, 38, of Flanders, was arrested on Nov. 26 and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for failing to maintain lane while traveling north on Flanders Road in Hampton Bays, police said. An investigation revealed that Bonilla Reyes was intoxicated and he was transported back to New York State Police Barracks Riverside to be processed; he is due back in Southampton Justice Court on Dec. 6, police said.

- Salvador Sanchez Perez, 34, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on Nov. 26 and charged with driving while intoxicated and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop for failing to maintain lane and speeding while traveling west on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, police said. An investigation revealed Sanchez Perez to be intoxicated and he was transported back to New York State Police Barracks Riverside to be processed; Sanchez Perez is due back in Southampton Justice Court on Dec. 4, police said.
