Bridgehampton Man Nabbed For DWI: Cops

He refused a breathalyzer text, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Bridgehampton man was cuffed after he was caught driving drunk in Southampton Village, police said.

According to Southampton Village Police, Daniel DeJesus Patino, 25, was arrested on Aug. 19 at 3:31 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and third degree aggravated unlicensed operations, all misdemeanors.

Patino was driving a 2013 Ram 150 while traveling east on Powell Avenue and stopped for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

Upon further investigation, he was arrested, processed and held for morning arraignment; Patino refused to submit to the Intoxilyzer breath test, police said.
