Broken Headlight Leads To DWI Bust: Cops

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Holbrook woman was busted for driving drunk in Northampton recently, police said.

According to New York State Police, on Aug. 1 at 10:58 p.m., Jennifer L. Rogers, 22, was driving on County Road 51 northbound near Speonk Riverhead Road and was stopped for a headlight being out.

Upon further investigation, Rogers was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .11 percent, police said. Rogers was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated; she is due back in Southampton Justice Court on Aug. 13, police said.
