Drunk Driver Busted With Vape Pens, Fake Inspection Sticker: Cops

He was also unlicensed and charged with circumventing an interlock device, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Shirley man is facing felony charges after he was caught driving drunk with vape pens, police said.

According to New York State Police, Adrain Gomez, 24, was arrested on April 29 and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, and first degree aggravated unlicensed operations, a felony; as well as circumventing an interlock device, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a fictitious New York State inspection sticker, misdemeanors, police said.

He was also found with two vape pens and liquid THC, police said.

Gomez was stopped for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra east on County Road 39, police said.

Upon further investigation, he was taken into custody, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
