Drunk Driver Injured In Sunrise Highway Crash: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A South Setauket man was charged with driving drunk after he was injured in a crash on Sunrise Highway in Southampton, police said.

According to New York State Police, Frank J. Pollina, 69, was arrested on Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated following a personal injury crash on Sunrise Highway in Southampton.

Pollina was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where he provided a blood sample, police said.

Pollina was transported back to New York State Police barracks Riverside, processed without incident, and is due back in Southampton Justice Court on April 24, police said.
