DWI Task Force, Saturation Patrols Net 11 Arrests: Police
11 individuals were arrested Saturday night, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A DWI task force and saturation patrols Saturday night in Southampton Town netted 11 arrests, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, authorities hosted one segment of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota's East End DWI Task Force Saturday night, from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m.
A roadside checkpoint was set up on Montauk Highway near Flanders Road in Hampton Bays from 9:10 p.m. until 11:15 p.m., police said.

During that time, 412 vehicles were screened, resulting in five arrests with driving while intoxicated charges and two charges of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine/unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
After 11:15 p.m., saturation patrols were utilized throughout the town and another 41 vehicles were screened, resulting in an additional four DWI charges, police said.

Those arrested, police said, at the checkpoint, include:
Mani Hernandez, 34, of Flanders, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, false personation, and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
Leonard T. Rempe, 51, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
Anthony D. Romano, 35, of Holtsville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
Domenick Lelia, 66, of North Babylon, was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.
Pedro Andara-Machado, 35, of Hampton Bays, was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.
Elmer A. Castaneda, 21, of Flanders, was arrested and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Elvis A. Sequin-Ortiz, 24, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
During saturation, the following individuals were arrested, police said:
Michael C. Cominskey, 23, of Garden City, was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI (BAC +.18), stop sign violation, police said.
Sean P. Sambolin-Bishon, 24, of Hampton Bays, was arrested and charged with felony DWI, second offense, speeding, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Jeffrey S. Collins, 29, of Islip, was arrested and charged with DWI and red light, police said.
Patrick J. Egan, 34, of Philadelphia, PA, was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.
All arrested were transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for morning arraignment, police said.
No motor vehicle accidents were reported during the DWI Task Force enforcement detail in Southampton Town, police said.
Ten members of the task force from Southampton Town Police, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department, the Southampton Village Police Department, the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, the East Hampton Town Police Department and East Hampton Village Police Department participated in the effort, police said.
