East Quogue Man Tries To Flee Cops: Police
He was charged with resisting arrest, police say.
GREENPORT, NY — An East Quogue man was arrested after he tried to flee police officers in Greenport, police said.
According to Southold Town Police, Wayne Brathwaite, 44, was arrested on Oct. 15 at 8:38 p.m. on Center Street and charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Brathwaite was found to be in possession of marijuana and attempted to flee officers; he was apprehended, transported to police headquarters for processing and released after posting bail, police said.
