American Portraits: Treasures from the Parrish Art Museum

The fourth in a series of exhibitions from the Parrish’s collection will be on view from Oct. 16 to Nov. 27. "American Portraits" features works by Mary Ellen Mark, Fairfield Porter, William Sidney Mount, and self-portratis by William King and Joe Zucker. It was organized by Alicia Longwell, Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman.

An opening reception will be held on Oct. 15, when the first of a video series, "Inside the Museum: American Portraits," will be screened in the concert hall at 6 p.m. The film follows Longwell into the storage for a behind-the-scenes look at how the exhibition was put together, along with conversations with the artists. Reservations are required for the screening.
