
Judith Tankard will be speaking on her recent book, Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden: from the Archives of Country Life, which celebrates Jekyll's gardens and her legendary theories on color, planting, and design.
Landscape historian, author and preservationist Judith B. Tankard is the author of 8 illustrated books on landscape history, including Gardens of the Arts and Crafts Movement and Beatrix Farrand: Private Gardens, Public Landscapes. She writes for Hortus, Country Life, and other publications.
After the lecture there will be a booksigning and refreshments served at the Winter House.
