A day embracing art, music, food, entertainment, history and fun. Organized by leading civic, cultural and business groups, Southampton Septemberfest offers residents, visitors and businesses another chance to enjoy Southampton's rich cultural heritage and its connection to agriculture and the sea.
The fun begins in Southampton Village at 10 a.m.
There will be live demonstrations by the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, a concert in the park with New Life Crisis, a juggling and magic performance with Jester Jim, and a Harvest Day Fair with wagon rides, silhoutte artist and more. Plus, there will be pumpkin painting, face painting, music in the streets with Jim Turner, Charles Certain, Ahmad Ali, Prelude String Ensemble, Monica Hughes, Nick Kerzner, the Watson Collective and Leah Laurenti, a 2011 America Idol contest. Also planned is a "Taste of Southampton" chowder contest and seasonal fare.
