Film Fest Flicks to See in Southampton
"Silver Lining Playbook" is opening film at Hamptons International Film Festival Southampton venue.
The Hamptons International Film Festival is bringing 13 films to Southampton Village this weekend, beginning Friday with director David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook.
The films are a mix of documentaries and narrative features, and American and international.
"Silver Linings Playbook," starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker and Julia Stiles, among others, is about a bipolar man (Cooper) trying to get re-acclimated to society and win back his estranged wife after a court-ordered stint at a psychiatric facility. While tickets to the Southampton opening night film are already scarce — you can wait in line at the theater for rush tickets — tickets to the rest of the weekend's films at the Southampton multiplex are still available as of Thursday night.
