Herr Re-Elected Southampton Democrats Chair

The Southampton Town Democratic Committee gathered last week for their annual organizational convention and re-elected Gordon Herr as chair.

Mackie Finnerty was elected first vice chair at the Oct. 2 convention, Joy Flynn was elected second vice chair, George Lynch, treasurer, and Hank Beck, secretary.

Herr is a Sag Harbor resident and marketing professional.

"It is a genuine pleasure to work with our highly organized Democratic Committee in Southampton Town and all its volunteer members," Herr is quoted as saying in a statement from the Democratic Committee. "It is their efforts that have led to our steady and continued growth. Their dedication to the principles and ideas of a true democratic way of government is a sure pathway to a better future for all of us, regardless of party, in Southampton Town."
