LI Man Charged With DWI Had Teen In Car: Police

FLANDERS, NY — A Riverside man was arrested and charged after he was found driving while intoxicated with a teenager in his car early Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, at 12:11 a.m. Huber Reyes-Chiche, 37, was driving south on Flanders Road near Cypress Avenue in Flanders and was seen failing to maintain his lane.

A traffic stop revealed that he was driving while intoxicated with a 16-year-old in the car, police said.

Reyes-Chiche was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, as well as numerous traffic violations, police said.

He was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
