Local Residents Vote to Approve Rogers Memorial Library Budget
The residents also elected a new member to the library's Board of Trustees.

Residents in the Southampton and Tuckahoe school districts voted on the Rogers Memorial Library’s budget as well as a new Board of Trustees member on Friday night.
The voters approved the operation budget of $4,019,733 by a 151-29 vote, according to 27east.
The voters also approved a tax levy of $4,351,401, which would bring the 2016 tax rate to $0.1778 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, according to 27east.

Victoria Kahn, a resident of Southampton Village, was elected to one of the two open seats on the board left open by Glenn R. Halsey Jr. and Frances C. Burns, who both decided not to run for re-election, 27east reports.
