Man Busted For Stealing Strip Steaks, London Broil: Cops
A trip to Stop & Shop ended up in handcuffs for a man who tried to steal some steaks; he'll have to find a new place to shop, cops say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A trip to Stop & Shop ended badly for a Southampton man who tried to swipe some strip steaks and London broil, police said.
According to Southampton Village Police, Troy R. Gardner, 47, was arrested on Dec. 26 at 7:54 p.m. and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. A computer check also revealed that Gardner had an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear, police said.
Gardner allegedly entered Stop & Shop and left with 2 strip steaks and 2 London broil steaks without paying, police said.

He was taken into custody without incident and advised that he can no longer enter the store, police said.
