Man Charged With Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Shoreham man was arrested after a traffic stop in Southampton Friday, police said.

According to New York State Police, John P. Tunison, 49, was arrested and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for multiple traffic infractions on Sunrise Highway, police said.

Tunison was transported to New York State Police barracks Riverside and processed without incident. and is due back in Southampton Town Justice Court on Wednesday, police said.
