Man Charged With DWI After County Road 39 Crash: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Quogue man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a two-car crash in Southampton Saturday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 11:39 p.m. Jhonn Castanedavelin, 23, was intoxicated and struck another vehicle, police said. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, as well as numerous traffic infractions, police said.

He was brought to Southampton Town police headquarters and held for morning arraignment; the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were taken to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
