Man Charged With DWI After Rear-Ending Vehicle In Flanders: PD

He had a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after rear-ending a vehicle in Flanders Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Filomeno Rojanoolmedo, 37, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on Flanders Road and Longneck Boulevard. Rojanoolmedo was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI: per se—.18 of 1 percent or more alcohol in blood, both misdemeanors, as well as other vehicle and traffic law violations, police said. The legal BAC limit is .08 percent.

He was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters for arrest processing and held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said.
