FLANDERS, NY — A Sagaponack man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Flanders early Friday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, at 12:16 a.m., Nixon Villaneuvadurate, 29, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and several other New York State vehicle and traffic law violations.
Villanuevadurate was seen failing to yield to traffic at the intersection of Flanders Road and Cypress Avenue; he was stopped and found to be intoxicated, police said.

Villanuevadurate was arrested, taken to Southampton Town police headquarters, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
