Man Charged With DWI Had BAC More Than 3X Legal Limit: Cops

He was pulled over in Flanders, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A man was caught driving with a blood alcohol concentration of more than three times the legal limit in Flanders on Sunday, police said.

According to New York State Police, on August 31 at 3 a.m., Mauricio Blanco, 55, of Brentwood, was traveling on Flanders Road in Flanders and was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Upon further investigation, Blanco was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .25%; the legal limit is .08%, police said.

Blanco was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
