Man Charged With Speeding Drunk On Highway: Cops

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A Mastic man was arrested after he was caught speeding drunk on Sunrise Highway, police said.

According to New York State Police, Diego M. Segarra, 26, was arrested on Nov. 2 at 8:15 a.m. after he was stopped for speeding and moving from lane unsafely while driving west on Sunrise Highway, east of Exit 64 in East Quogue.

Upon further investigation, Segarra was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .12%, police said.

Segarra was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and is due back in Southampton Town Justice Court on Nov. 29, police said.
