Police ID Man Killed In Single Car Rollover Crash

RIVERSIDE, NY — Police have identified the man who died in a single-car crash in Riverside Friday as Nicholas Rutigliano, 30, of Manorville.

According to Southampton Town Police, dispatchers received an emergency call at 7 p.m. about the crash on Country Road 94, about a half mile west of the Suffolk County Correctional Facility. Responding officers found an overturned 2006 Acura sedan that had left the roadway; Rutigliano was trapped and heavy rescue was contacted for extrication, police said.

Rutigliano, who was alone in the car, was found unresponsive, police said.

The road was closed for four hours while detectives conducted their investigation and crews worked to remove the vehicle, police said.
