Man Facing Felony Marijuana Possession Charge: Cops

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Southampton man was busted when he was found with marijuana, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Albert R. Zielinski, 27, was arrested on Montauk Highway near Handy Lane in Amagansett on July 6 at 1:45 a.m. and charged with third degree criminal possession of marijuana, aggregate weight more than eight ounces, a felony, police said.

He wrongfully possessed a green, leafy plant-like material that later tested positive for the presence of marijuana, with an aggregate weight of more than eight ounces, police said.

Cash bail was set at $5,000, police said.
