Man Stabbed In Flanders: Police

The man had a stab wound to the abdomen, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A man was stabbed at a Flanders residence early Sunday morning, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, a call came in at 3:27 a.m. from a home on Oak Avenue, reporting that a man, 32, had been stabbed and help was needed.

Officers found the man at the residence and called Flanders-Northampton Volunteer Ambulance Corps, police said. The man had a single stab wound to the abdomen and was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Southampton Town Police detectives were called to investigate and said the man had been visiting his sister in Flanders; upon leaving the residence, he was attacked by an unknown person and stabbed, police said.
