Man Steals Egg Sandwich, Found With Hypodermic Needle: Cops

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A man stole an egg sandwich — and got busted after he was found with a hypodermic needle, police said.

According to Southampton Village Police, William M. Byrus, 25, of Holtsville was arrested on Oct. 22 at 6:36 a.m. in Southampton and charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle, both misdemeanors.

Byrus is alleged to have stolen the egg sandwich from 7-Eleven, and when taken into custody, police found him to be in possession of the hypodermic needle; he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
