Marders Celebrates 42nd Annual Open House: Photos

Shoppers were able to peruse the wide array of one of a kind treasures.

BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY —Kathleen and Charlie Marder and their staff at Marders in Bridgehampton held their "42nd Annual Open House" last weekend, where shoppers were able to peruse a wide array of specially selected one of a kind treasures.

Bee expert Mary Woltz lectured next to a 6 foot honey bee, Tony Valderrama from Quogue Wildlife Refuge told the stories of hawks and owls, and Frank Quevedo, executive director of the South Fork Natural History Museum conducted a bird lecture and birdwatching walk.

The musical mood was set by the Genesis Gospel Choir and the Willie Steel Trio. Rounding out the fun were a full slate of activities including face painting, hand tattooing, hair braiding, hot cider and cookies. The staff was happy to show off unique, colorful, elaborate hats, created by the Marders design team.
