New Water Main For Residents Using Contaminated Private Wells
More than 10,800 feet of water main was installed to provide public water access to 115 homes on several residential streets, town says.

EAST QUOGUE, NY — East Quogue residents impacted by emerging contaminants iwill now have access to safer water.
Suffolk County Water Authority Chairman Patrick Halpin and Southampton Town Supervisor Jay
Schneiderman are set to announce the installation of a new water main that will provide access to public water to East Quogue homes using private wells impacted by the contaminants perfluorooctane sulfonate, or PFOS, and perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, a release from Southampton Town said.
Officials will make the announcement at a press event on Jan. 21. on West Side Avenue in East Quogue.
