• Cat Bachman Shares a Standout from Her 'School of Fish' (danspapers.com) — Southampton artist Cat Bachman, this week's Dan's Papers cover artist, draws inspiration from a whimsical "college" in Southampton and the East End's coastal life for her fishy characters. She'll showcase new works at the Southampton Artists Association Fall Art Exhibit at the Southampton Cultural Center November 6–15, with another piece appearing in Guild Hall's 86th Artist Members Exhibition.
   

• Beach repair to close section of Dune Road in Southampton Town (newsday.com) — Drivers in Southampton Town should prepare for daytime closures on a one-mile stretch of Dune Road east of Ponquogue Bridge next Monday through Thursday as Suffolk County repairs storm-damaged dunes. The work, using thousands of cubic yards of sand, aims to protect the Shinnecock Commercial Fishing Dock, a key local economic hub, after severe erosion from last weekend's nor'easter.
   

• Harboring Hearts Foundation Supports Families (danspapers.com) — Harboring Hearts recently brought supporters to Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton for its sixth annual golf outing and cocktail reception, raising funds to help cardiac surgery and organ transplant patients. The event, sponsored by James Lema and Underdog, directly supports families facing steep medical and living costs while loved ones undergo critical treatment.
