Peconic Land Trust's 'Through Farms & Fields' Draws Crowd: Photos
Supporters celebrated Peconic Land Trust's more than 30 years of dedication to conserving Long Island's working farms and natural lands.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The Peconic Land Trust held its premier annual event, the "Through Farms & Fields" outdoor country supper, Sunday at Whitecap Farm in Water Mill.
Sponsors, benefactors, patrons and friends gathered to celebrate PLT's more than 30 years of dedication to conserving Long Island's working farms, natural lands and landscapes.
Not only were the crops in abundance, but so were classic East End farming family names including Halsey and King.

This year's honoree was Kathleen King, "for her unwavering dedication to conservation"; King is well-known for her Tate's Bake Shop cookies.
Richie King served as master of ceremonies; the event was hosted by Evelyn and John L. Halsey, Amy and Austin Halsey-Cohn and Jennifer and Craig Dupree.

Supper was prepared by Art of Eating, and guest enjoyed wines from Martha Clara Vineyards, as well as music by the John Ludlow Trio and a special performance by Julia King. The event also included a raffle with an array of prizes.
