PHOTOS: Champions Compete at Hamptons Squash Week

Five tournaments held over four days in North Sea with amateur and pro players.

Southampton Squash hosted Hamptons Squash Week at the Elmaleh-Stanton Squash Center at in North Sea from Thursday through Sunday, attracting players from 18 countries.

The weekend ended with Pro Squash Tour champions Bradley Ball and John White facing off in heated and fast paced best of three matches.

"Southampton Squash holds the honor of being the only club to host the Women’s International Professional Squash Association, Pro Squash Tour, doubles in male and female, and open adult and junior competitions all in one weekend," promoters said. Players ranged in age from 10 to 65 and the world champion, U.S. champion, national mixed doubles champion and national under 30 doubles champion were in attendance, as well as top ranked women’s players and the up and coming pro players.

The tournaments included the Women’s International Squash Professional Association Mohawk Hampton Open, the PST Men’s Pro Tour Mohawk Open, the 2nd Annual Elmaleh Cup Pro Doubles and, for locals, the 5th Annual Sotheby’s Junior Silver Open and the Hamptons Open Adult Skill Level.
