Public's Help Wanted To Help Catch North Sea Thief: Police

The man fled the North Sea home in a 2000 to 2001 dark-colored Hyundai Santa Fe, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Police are searching for a man wanted for allegedly burglarizing a North Sea home in July, authorities said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Southampton Town Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man, who entered the home and stole property on July 5 at approximately 8:30 p.m., police said.

The man fled in a 2000 to 2001 dark-colored Hyundai Santa Fe, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
