Riverhead Man Charged With False Personation In Riverside: Police
During a police investigation into a missing juvenile, he gave a false name, authorities say.
RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested and charged with false personation Thursday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, on Thursday at 7:50 p.m., Carlos Alexander Flores-Ortiz, 20, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor false personation. During the investigation of a missing juvenile on March 1 in Riverside, Flores-Ortiz provided police with an incorrect name and address, knowingly misrepresenting his actual name, with the intent of preventing police from learning that information, police said.
Flores-Ortiz was arrested, taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing and released on an appearance ticket; he is scheduled to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
