Rogers Library Election, Budget Vote Is Aug. 17.
Meet the candidates on Saturday.

On Aug. 17, is asking voters to approve a 1.98 percent increase in the tax levy, and to decide who will represent them on the Board of Trustees.
The proposed budget for 2013, including debt payments, is $4.2 million, up 2.28 percent from the current budget.
The estimated new tax rate is $0.1816 per $1,000 of assessed property value, up 4.07 percent from the current tax rate.

There will be a meet the candidates event and budget presentation on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the library.

One trustee seat will be decided on by all voters, while a second is only open to Southampton School District residents. Each term is for four years.
For the at-large seat, incumbent Sandra Klemuk faces Shirley Katzter. For the designated Southampton seat, incumbent J. Judith Johnson is up against Susan Stevenson. (See the attached pdf for the candidates' bios.)
The election and budget vote is Friday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the library located at 91 Coopers Farm Road, Southampton Village.
