Search On For Person Who Tried To Enter Unoccupied Southampton Home: Police

The incident took place in Southampton in May, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The search is one for a man who tried to enter a home in Southampton in May, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the person who trespassed at a residence in Southampton last month, police said.

A person attempted to enter an unoccupied house, located at 27 Hillside Road, on May 1 at 5:30 p.m., police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
