Southampton Hospital Hosts 57th Annual Summer Party

Southampton Hospital held their 57th Annual Summer Party, which had a theme of Fantasia, on Saturday, August 1.
Benefit Chair Jean Remmel Fitz Simmons, Honorary Chair Howard Lorber, Underwriting Chair Jean Shafiroff, Southampton Hospital President/CEO Robert Chaloner and Southampton Hospital Foundation President Steve Bernstein welcomed over 750 guests to the event.

The night raised over $1.3 million to support the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department.
The event was emceed by Chuck Scarborough and guests included Martin and Audrey Gruss, Jonathan and Somers Farkas, Peter and Jamee Gregory, Margo and John Catsimatidis, Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Laura Lofaro Freeman, Dottie Herman, Jay McLaughlin and David Arquette.

The dinner was catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs and the music was provided by the Alex Donner Orchestra.
The night’s raffle included fine jewelry from LJ Cross and House of Murat.
“I’ve had a wonderful ride with my work for the Hospital,“ Jean Remmel FitzSimmons told guests in attendance, “The last ten years have been so much fun.”
Chaloner thanked everyone for their support and shared his excitement about the partnership with Stony Brook and for the upcoming Capital Campaign, which will be led by Howard Lorber, to build a new Southampton Hospital.
