Southampton Public Schools Sets Dates For Community Merger Meetings

The public is invited to attend the meetings which will provide information and answer questions about the proposed annexation.

Southampton Public Schools announced they will be hosting a series of community merger meetings in order to provide information and answer questions about the proposed annexation of the Tuckahoe School District.

All community members are invited to participate.

There will straw votes to determine if the proposition will go to a full referendum on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m at the Southampton Intermediate School Music Room at 70 Leland Lane.

The first of the meeting will be held next Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Southampton Cultural Center at 29 Pond Lane starting at 7 p.m.

The rest of the meetings will be held on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Southampton Youth Services on 1370A Majors Path at 10:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Water Mill Community House on 743 Montauk Highway at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 6 at the North Sea Community House on 130 Noyack Road at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Rogers Memorial Library on 91 Coopers Farm Road at 6:30 p.m.
