Unlicensed Southampton Man Caught Driving With Cocaine: Police

The driver was charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Southampton man was arrested after he was caught driving unlicensed with cocaine, police said.

According to New York State Police, Carl T. Morgan, 51, was arrested on Saturday and charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, two counts of fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and possession of marijuana.

He was arrested following a traffic stop on Sunrise Highway in Southampton, transported to New York State Police barracks Riverside and processed, police said

Morgan was arraigned and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility without bail and was slated to re-appear in Southampton Town Court on Monday, police said.
