Wellness Foundation Guides Kids To Healthy Food Choices: Photos

Students learned to become change agents, improving their wellness and embracing a healthy lifestyle.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A much anticipated graduation day at Our Lady of the Hamptons School in Southampton unfolded recently as the last in a six-week series of classes for Wellness Foundation's WKids Healthy Food for Life in-school program unfolded.

Each student presented their report on how they would become "change agents", by describing a change they were going to make to improve their own wellness or their family's. Each one enthusiastically told about plans for more exercise, family walks after dinner, making better food choices by reading packaging labels, better sleeping habits, and more.

Zoë Klein, Wellness Foundation's associate director of education and programs, and OLH wellness and dance teacher Elyse Curro supervised the occasion and presented the official WKids change agent graduation certificates.
