Woman With Counterfeit Cash At Suffolk 7-Eleven Fled In BMW: Cops

A woman tried to use counterfeit cash at a 7-Eleven in Suffolk County before fleeing in a silver BMW, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who attempted to use counterfeit currency at Westhampton 7-Eleven earlier in May, police said.

The woman handed the cashier 11 counterfeit $10 bills at 7-Eleven, located at 410 Mill Road, on May 15 at approximately 6 a.m., police said.

After discovering the currency was counterfeit, the employee kept the bills, police said. The woman left the store and fled in the BMW, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
