Woman Nabbed For Driving Drunk: Cops

She had a BAC of .16%, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Riverside woman was nabbed for driving drunk, police said.

According to New York State Police, Martha E. Weinhardt, 58, was stopped while heading west on New York State Route 24 on March 27.

While being interviewed at the scene, the strong odor of alcoholic beverage was detected and she was put through standardized field sobriety tests; her results were indicative of being intoxicated by alcohol, police said.

Weinhardt was placed under arrest and transported back to New York State Police Barracks Riverside where she provided a breath sample of .16% blood alcohol content, police said.

She is due back at Southampton Justice Court on April 16, police said.
