Wrong Way, Drugged Driver Nabbed: Police
He was caught driving the wrong way down the road while on drugs, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Riverhead driver was arrested after he was caught driving the wrong way down the road while on drugs, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Julian Wright, 45, was arrested on Wednesday after he was seen driving south in the northbound lane of County Road 94 in Riverside at 1 p.m., police said.
Officers stopped Wright and determined that he was operating a vehicle while his ability was impaired by the use of a drug, police said. Police did not immediately identify the drug.

He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a felony, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
Wright was processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters, held overnight and will be arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court on Thursday, police said.
