4 Connecticut Drivers Charged With DWI In New York
All were stopped by New York State police on Sunday.
State Police in Troop K reported removing 21 impaired drivers from the public roadways during the Nov. 16 weekend. Among them were four Connecticut residents — two from Danbury, one from New Milford and one from Clinton — who were stopped Nov. 17 by police saying they had violated New York vehicle and traffic law.
New York State police from the Brewster barracks arrested Marcelo Ferreira Santos, 29, of Danbury, CT, and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast when he was stopped. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
State police from the Stormville barracks charged Luis G. Cordova Lopez, 36, of Danbury, CT, with driving while intoxicated. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill when he was stopped. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

State police from the Brewster barracks arrested Caitlynn M. Remlin, 31, of New Milford, CT, for Aggravated DWI. She was traveling on Argonne Road in the town of Southeast. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, police said, though they did not release her blood alcohol level.
State police from the Brewster barracks charged Jordani P. Gallardo Abarca, 36, of Clinton, CT, with DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast when he was stopped. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
