Author talk at The Kent Public Library

William Brett, author, discusses "Next Year in Constanta" Wednesday, September 09, 2015 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM Kent Public Library

William Brett, who spent many years in Kent with his family, is returning to Kent to visit and discuss his newly released book, “Next Year in Constanta.” This is the story of a love affair between Celestina, the beautiful Romanian secretary to the British Consulate General in Constanta, Romania and David, a young handsome English ship’s Captain. A series of events leading up to the outbreak of World War Two draw both of them in to an ever deeper web of dark secrets and international intrigue. Only a chance letter to sent to David’s son, Robert, after the fall of the Soviet Union would reveal the truth about the enduring love affair and the long hidden secrets of Soviet atrocities that now must be revealed to the world. Signed copies by the author will be available for purchase. All proceeds are going to a local charity.
Registration is required. Please contact the library at 845-225-858 to register.
