Brewster Man Accused of Stabbing after Search
Troopers, State Police Aviation, Putnam Sheriff's Office K9 Unit and the Brewster Police were involved in the search through the woods.

On Dec. 13, the New York State Police arrested 26-year-old Edras Ramos-Salguero of Brewster, New York, for Assault 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony and Trespass (2 counts), a Violation.
At about 3 pm, troopers had responded to a stabbing incident at Route 6 near the intersection of Argonne Road in Brewster. The assault occurred in a nearby wooded area on property owned by the MTA.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, sustained a hand laceration and was transported by Brewster Fire Department medical personnel to Putnam Hospital Center for treatment.
A search of the area was conducted by Troopers, State Police Aviation, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and the Village of Brewster Police Department resulting in Ramos-Salguero being located and arrested on property owned by the Department of Environmental Protection.
He was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Court before Town Justice Anthony Mole and remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash / $5,000 bond and ordered to return to the Town of Southeast Court on Dec. 18.
