Brewster Carmel Garden Club Annual Plant Sale

The Brewster Carmel Garden Club is holding its annual plant sale featuring an outstanding selection of annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and potted planters. Our plants are grown at Kurtz Farms in Cheshire, CT, and are of exceptional quality. The 2026 event will be held at Lake Tonetta Park, 140 Pumphouse Road, Brewster, on Wednesday, May 6, with pick-up times from 1 - 4 PM. Orders placed are to be paid for on the day of pick up by either CASH or CHECK.
This event is our club’s annual fundraiser. We are active in the community as sponsors of two scholarships to students from Carmel HS and Brewster HS who plan to pursue studies in horticulture or related environmental sciences. We are delighted to conduct educational programs on gardening in the evenings at both Reed and Kent Libraries. We also purchase plants, maintain and beautify Milltown Cemetery, Brewster Library, the Honor Roll in Brewster, Southeast Town Hall, and the Bluestar Memorial at the train station. In Carmel we maintain the Reed Memorial Library, Carmel Cornerstone Park, the Sybil Ludington statue, the Blue Star Memorial, and the County and Law Offices. In addition, we have a garden therapy program at Putnam Hospital. We decorate and donate wreaths to honor the veterans, decorate the Walter Brewster House at Christmas along with the Christmas Tree at Putnam Hospital, and we create centerpieces for the Friends of Kent Library for their annual holiday fundraiser.
