Carmel Man Faces Drug Charges, Police Say

The man was arrested at the Highbridge Plaza on Route 22.

Drug charges have been leveled against a Carmel man by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

David J. Dagnone, 50, of Maple Hill Drive, has been charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police allege there was the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of his car which was parking at the Highbridge Plaza on Route 22 in Southeast.

Dagnone was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and released pending a Dec. 10 court appearance.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, he could face up to a year in jail and up to a $1,000 fine.
