Cortlandt Man Accused Of Burglaries In Putnam, Westchester Counties
He faces court proceedings in both jurisdictions.
PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — A Cortlandt man faces charges connected to a string of residential burglaries in Putnam and Westchester counties between October and December, Sheriff Kevin J. McConville announced.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Investigators worked with investigators from the New York State Police Cortlandt Barracks to solve these crimes, he said.
After an attempted burglary in Cortlandt Manor Dec. 12 was interrupted by state troopers, Harold J. Mann was tracked down and arrested with the help of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and state police K-9, state police said.

After further investigation, police accused Mann of responsibility for multiple burglaries in the area.
Mann, 42, was charged with four counts of Burglary in the 2nd Degree in Cortlandt Manor and three counts in Putnam Valley.

Mann was arraigned in Putnam Valley Court on Jan. 3, where bail was set at $75,000 cash, or $150,000 bond. He was sent to the Westchester County Jail to await court proceedings in both jurisdictions.
